Oh, how I love this girl. This pic from a few years ago just melts my heart.
I created this for an April Scrapdango challenge using their March 2011 kit.

Wedding celebration
No, not that one (although I AM going to wake up early to watch it)...
Today is my and my husband's 11th wedding anniversary.
We don't have plans like the people across the pond.
But, I made him this card...
It's a totally different style than I usually use, but I think he'll love it.
Have a beautiful day!

More family honeymoon pics
I know you're sick of seeing these by now, but I used the last of the family honeymoon pics to create layouts for two Scrapdango challenges this month. I'll have one more to share in a couple days (for a 'dango challenge... not using family honeymoon pics... LOL.).
The second one is also a XOXO lift of Katherine Blue. Their challenge this month is sponsored by Candy Shoppe Designs.
I used the March 2011 Scrapdango kit for these. Love Twig from LYB!

SCY: Baby Jail
There is a new sketch up at Sketches: Creatively Yours. Go over and check out the other designers' work!
My layout here is about how sad my youngest is when she is placed in her crib. Look at the jail "bars" on the embellished pic!

Water challenge
The second challenge for the month at Trail Makers is to create a layout on rain/water.
The Cosmo Cricket papers that I chose from the store went perfectly with my pictures from the 1970s!
Be sure to hop over to the blog to see what the other designers did with this challenge! Play along with us!
TPT is being sponsored this month by Krisi's Kreations. Please click here to see what I created with her calendar download!

Journaling Junkie: Easter
Easy one this time... an Easter layout! Come play along with us....
Journaling: Oh, sweet Bella. You learned a hard lesson @ the Easter egg hunt when you spilled your basket and older kids came and swooped up your eggs. On the flip side, others GAVE you some of their eggs to make up for it. Then you won a stuffed bunny at the cake walk and all was forgiven and forgotten. We continued the Easter fun with our egg cracking and a family egg hunt. Of course, the day wouldn't be complete without our pictures before Mass and stopping to check out the tulips.

First Day of Kindergarten
The first challenge for the month is up at Trail Makers, and it was to use the blog banner as your inspiration.
I got to work with some other goodies from the store for this layout. The Bo Bunny bracket paper was an obvious choice based on the banner and is the main design focus of the layout. I also love the fun touch of the Color Story flowers.
This is another one for my medium DD... on her first day of kindergarten!
Be sure to hop over to the blog to see more takes on this challenge! And, don't forget, TPT is being sponsored this month by Krisi's Kreations. Click here to see what I created with her calendar download!

Journaling Junkie: Most Likely To...
***See the below post for the Paper Trail blog hop.***
I loved this challenge! I went back to my college years when I was voted "Most Talkative" of my (co-ed music) fraternity.
Here is the journaling:
I beg your pardon! I do NOT talk that much... only when I'm passionate about something, or, okay, when I'm in need of a little attention... or when I know a lot about the subject at hand... or maybe when I'm bored... or there's a lull in the conversation... but, sometimes, it's to give helpful advice... or answer a question. Okay, I concede. I DO talk a lot, but I prefer to think it's because I'm a friendly person. But, we can have a chat about it if you think otherwise...

The Paper Trail Blog Hop
I'm so excited to be the guest designer this month over at The Paper Trail! Karen always has fabulous challenges to work with over on the blog, and this month's kit is Crate's Neighborhood line. *SWOON* You can't go wrong with Crate!
When I saw this paper, I knew I had to do a layout for my medium DD with it because she's been feeling left out lately. :( This is about her and her first school BFF. Who knew texting terms were so "in" with the kindergarten crew? LOL.
TPT is being sponsored this month by Krisi's Kreations. I downloaded her fab 2010 calendar pages and fun button sentiments. I've always wanted to create a month-at-a-glance page but never had, so that's what I used them on! I chose to document this past December because I always have a ton of December pics.
Finally, to start off the month, The Paper Trail is having a blog hop, until April 3rd, with a progressive dinner theme. For those of you who have never heard of a progressive dinner, it's where a group of people start at one house and eat your appetizer, and then move to each house eating and socializing. Your task with us is to pick one as inspiration (or all of them!) and show us your layouts (it doesn't have to be about food). I'm serving up appetizers. Here is your inspiration pic...
...and here is a layout that I created for my cookbooking scrapbook, a Rachael Ray recipe for Lettuce Wraps. I used some Asian-inspired papers from Karen's shop along with Cosmo Cricket Earth Love journaling spots, Prima flowers, and Liquid Pearls (which Karen has in just about every color!
Here is the blog hop order:
First up is our Appetizer at Heather's...YOU ARE HERE!
Going for drinks next at Amarilys'
Then we're off to Yara's for some salad
And the main dish at Sandi's
A scrumptious side dish at Karen's
A yummy dessert at Krystle's
an after dinner mint at Krisi's Kreations
And ending the evening playing some cards at Tanya's.
Then go back to the Trail Makers blog, become a follower (if you aren't already) and tell us what you liked best about the Fun in the Neighborhood Blog Hop for a chance to win an April 2011 kit from The Paper Trail (retail value $35). You have until 11PM EST on Sunday, April 3rd to complete the hop and get your comments posted!
