Look at me... I can never be more caught up on this project than I am at this exact moment.

Scrapdoodles
My semi-local SS, Scrapdoodles, is having it's first-ever design team call. I am submitting the below layouts and wall hanging. I just love this store, and I am keeping my fingers crossed to win a chance to be on their team.

12x12 picture as a layout
I created a layout using mostly pictures and only scraps of patterned paper. I've generally shyed away from pictures larger than 5x7, but I recently bought a camera that could take higher resolution pics, so I thought I would give it a try. This layout is titled "Family Honeymoon," as we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary together in Hatteras, N.C. (in an adorable house, btw, that can be seen here). I added little pics along the side of the 12x12 sunset print and put banners and a small decoration in the top corner with the journaling directly on the pic at the bottom. This might be one of the easiest layouts I've done in awhile! I also submitted this as a challenge over at Scrapdango.

To-do box
I have long had a to-do pile, but I recently decorated this box to hold all of my things to be scrapped. Most of the items used were from the March 2010 Dixie Pieces kit (yep, I'm STILL using it... you seriously need to check out these kits because they are STOCKED!).

Journaling Junkie: Fathers
In honor of Father's Day, this challenge was to create a LO about similarities beween you and your Dad, or the kids and their Dad.
Journaling: Remember that Daddy was once a little boy, too, with big hopes and dreams. Let him help you as you grow… because he’s been where you are now.
I also had the big kids write their names on the side of their pictures. I labeled the baby's for her since she would have just eaten the pen. ;)
I'm sure many of you also made father's pages... Visit the JJ blog to play along with us!

Homecoming layout
I made this layout about my sister and I yesterday from the new Girls Paperie line, which I had been dying to play with! Here's the journaling...
The story goes that the day Jennifer came home from the hospital, I was so excited that I stood by her crib just squealing in delight. She hasn't stopped amazing me since!

Catching up on the baby book
If you remember, I premade the shell of pages for each of the first 12 months of my baby's life. She's almost 8 months, but I've only just gotten around to finishing the pages for months 4 and 5...

Introducing SunnyGrl's fun shoppe
I have been asked to join the design team at SunnyGrl's fun shoppe! I know you... you're thinking "What?!?!? A digital shop?"
Have no fear... I'm not exactly joining the "other" side. Laugh.
I'm using their digital kits to create hybrid pages. The plan is for me to do one layout and a challenge/crop per month. Some months I'll also try to do a tutorial on the way that I use the kits and others I'll do another layout/set of cards/altered project.
Here is my first layout... I know you've been missing my recipes!
Take a look around the store at their amazing, affordable kits! I would love to have you come play with us.

Journaling Junkie: Weekends
The challenge this fortnight is to journal about one of your weekend days and include 5 pictures.
Here is my journaling...
Saturdays mean soccer in the spring, but otherwise, birthday parties, hot breakfasts, playtime, cuddling, snacks, leftovers, relaxation and rejuvenation, treats, and, most importantly, spending time together. I'm going to miss these once you are teenagers and make your own plans!
