It's been awhile since I posted a recipe for my cookbook scrapbook.

A few weeks back, the kids and I had a cooking day, where we made the entire week's dinners in one hour. One of the things that we made was this super simple crab salad that we ALL loved! I hope you'll give it a try and let me know if you enjoyed it as much as we did.

The Paper Trail Blog Hop

When I saw this paper, I knew I had to do a layout for my medium DD with it because she's been feeling left out lately. :( This is about her and her first school BFF. Who knew texting terms were so "in" with the kindergarten crew? LOL.

I've always wanted to create a month-at-a-glance page but never had, so that's what I used them on! I chose to document this past December because I always have a ton of December pics.

For those of you who have never heard of a progressive dinner, it's where a group of people start at one house and eat your appetizer, and then move to each house eating and socializing. ...and here is a layout that I created for my cookbooking scrapbook, a Rachael Ray recipe for Lettuce Wraps. I used some Asian-inspired papers from Karen's shop along with Cosmo Cricket Earth Love journaling spots, Prima flowers, and Liquid Pearls (which Karen has in just about every color!

Introducing SunnyGrl's fun shoppe

I have been asked to join the design team at SunnyGrl's fun shoppe! I know you... you're thinking "What?!?!? A digital shop?"

Have no fear... I'm not exactly joining the "other" side. Laugh.

I'm using their digital kits to create hybrid pages. The plan is for me to do one layout and a challenge/crop per month. Some months I'll also try to do a tutorial on the way that I use the kits and others I'll do another layout/set of cards/altered project.

Here is my first layout... I know you've been missing my recipes!

Sew Many Layouts: Show us what you got and a RAK

Sew Many Layouts has a new design team just in time for National Scrapbooking Day.

In celebration of National Scrapbooking Day the design team has created layouts using their favorite scrapbooking products and techniques! Here is mine:



Scrapbooking is my outlet as well as my way of leaving a legacy for my children... I know I've documented things that they (and I!) will forget, and I love that those memories have been preserved.

Scrapbooking recipes has really taken off, and I try to create at least one recipe layout a month. The above layout is mostly made from scraps (one of my favorite things to use!). The SMC image can be found here.

SML March recipe challenge

Another recipe challenge this week. We were to use a staple, paper clip, sticky note, and newspaper in our layouts. I always use these recipe challenges to actually scrapbook a recipe because I keep a scrapbook in the kitchen, too.

As an added bonus, Foxes and Robbers gave us the two awesome tags to incorporate into our layouts. I was torn about using the crown tag on this layout or the one that I'll be doing for next week's challenge, but I ultimately decided on this one.



I chose the baby Jaden SMC image since my recipe was for baby pizza puffs.

Another reminder...

My Scrapbooking Supplies recipe challenge

My challenge for the month over at My Scrapbooking Supplies was to create a recipe layout using the following: Cardstock ~ one sheet, Pattern paper~ one sheet, Journal die cuts ~ at least two, Flowers ~ at least two.



I used a sheet of Mary Engelbreit paper from Creative Imaginations that I have saved for several years now. The journal tags are from the Sweet Life collection, and the other die cuts are October Afternoon.

My first SML creation is up...

This week, we were challenged to use three buttons, ribbon, and two digital stamps. The owl is from Sew Many, and the mouse is Bugaboo.
